Steps to Renew
- Get a vision test — See an eye care provider. Get a vision cert. MD needs this every time. Even online.
- Check eligibility — Go to the MD MVA site. Can you renew online? Is your license in the window?
- Complete the application — Log in to the MVA portal. Upload your vision cert. Check your info. Submit.
- Pay the fee — Pay $48 by credit card, debit card, or e-check.
- Receive your license — Your card comes by mail in 7 to 10 days. Go in person? Get a temp card right away.
